Occasionally the integration between Xero and Citation HR may be disconnected. You or someone in your organisation may have done this manually, or it could have happened due to technical reasons beyond our control.
Please note that if our Client Support team have reached out to you to reconnect your Xero Integration, it is because they can see that it has become disconnected, even if it appears that they are still connected.
A common cause for this is when the User who setup the integration between Citation HR Software and Xero has their employee record terminated. The access to Xero is also terminated for security purposes.
If this happens you would need to follow the steps below to reconnect again correctly.
Confirm Citation HR Software and Xero are disconnected
Prior to reconnecting your Xero integration, you need to follow the steps for disconnecting Xero to ensure the two systems have been properly disconnected.
IMPORTANT: Make a note of the settings that are currently selected for 'Turn on automatic import from Xero' and 'Turn on automatic export from Xero'. You will need to reselect these settings when you reconnect your integration.

1. Navigate to Actions then select Integrations
2. Select the Xero Integration
3. Authorise Access from Xero to Citation HR Software
4. Navigate to Settings then select Account Settings
5. From Account Details, select Integration and click Edit
6. Update the settings to how they were, prior to you confirming the disconnection
