Preparation for setting up the integration
Prior to initiating your integration between Citation HR Software and Xero, there are a few things you will need to consider that may impact the way that you set it up.
First, you should identify whether you will need to do an initial import or export of data from Citation HR. This will be determined by whether you already have employee data in Citation HR, in Xero, or whether you already have employee data in both systems.
You will also need to prepare the structure of both Citation HR (Branches) and Xero (Employee Groups) to ensure that they match, prior to setting up the integration.
Next, you need to make some decisions about how you want your data to flow between the two systems on an ongoing basis, and which system will be the authorative system.
