What happens when you contact us?
1. Tell us who you are
When you call, we'll ask for:
- Your business name
- Your name
2. We'll confirm you're authorised
We'll check your name against the list of authorised users for your business.
Only authorised managers can seek advice, so if you're unsure whether you're authorised, please check with your organisation first.

Explain your HR, employee relations or safety question or concern.
Not sure if your question is something we can help with? Give us a call anyway. We can assist with a wide range of matters.
When should I contact the Advice Line?
We encourage you to contact us early — whether the issue seems big or small.
Our workplace relations and safety specialists will work with you to understand the situation, provide guidance and help you manage potential risks.
Getting advice early can help you address an issue before it becomes a larger problem for you or your business.
Who is the Advice Line for?
The Advice Line provides advice to managers about managing employees within their business.
It is not intended for employees seeking advice about their own individual employment circumstances, including managers who are contacting us in their capacity as an employee.
