As you may be aware from recent global news, the technology industry has recently uncovered flaws that exist in almost all devices that power most of the technology we all use every day. These flaws could potentially impact your smartphones, home computers, tablets, websites and services.
Codenamed ‘Meltdown’ and ‘Spectre’, these vulnerabilities could allow unauthorised access to systems and data for any affected device.
At Citation HR, it is our number one priority to keep your data confidential and secure within Citation HR Software. We are working with our service providers to implement critical security updates to our servers starting on the evening of 17 January 2018. Unfortunately, there have been reports that the required changes may have an impact on performance and response times which are difficult to predict at this stage. Our team will monitor our systems closely and will take appropriate action as required to maintain a consistent experience for all of our treasured clients and partners.
With regards to your own personal devices, it is likely that your phone and PC manufacturers are also working on critical updates presently. We recommend keeping your software up-to-date, and make sure you are aware of any security updates provided by your manufacturers. For example, there are several scheduled fixes in the works for Windows 10, iOS, Android and macOS.
